[Tiếng Việt bên dưới] Tyler Page and The Hanoi Social Club proudly present an evening (JULY 26TH 6PM-10PM) of immersive art, music and dance to explore a world completely unlike, and startlingly similar to our own; meant to give a comprehensive look into people, their cultures, their art and meta of such a creations.
“On Distant Atmospheres” is a multimedia exhibition detailing the characters, nations, magics and physical art of the parallel universe known as “Monde”, a place in transition between a time of magic and monsters, and the time of industry and progress; how they existed and how it all came to change.
Ten A2 pieces by Tyler Page adorn the walls and detail ten characters through the lens of an ‘in-universe’ publisher cluing you into the climactic events and varied attitudes of ‘Monde’, with traditional ‘in-universe’ art by Lana Vollmer, that reflects both the view of select artists that live within ‘Monde’ and both the intentions and implications of such a collection.
For auditory immersion, Sydney Barringer sets the mood with a generous mix of liquid drum and bass with a special blend of songs that tie to the characters themselves, and give a window into the artistic process behind each one.
Red brings an interpretive dance routine, adorned with the magic symbols of the world of ’Monde’ furthering the lore and artistic tastes of both this alternate universe and our own.
Rounding our the evening’s line-up, will be the up-and-coming tattooist Mai Trinh at the ready with flash tattoos themed around the magic, cultures and trends from the universe of “Monde”.
We welcome you to stay a while, listen to the tunes, grab a drink, and get lost in the distant atmosphere that is ‘Monde’.

Tyler Page và The Hanoi Social Club trân trọng giới thiệu một buổi tối (26/07, từ 18h đến 22h) ngập tràn nghệ thuật, âm nhạc và trình diễn - nơi bạn sẽ được đắm chìm vào một thế giới vừa xa lạ vừa thân quen, mở ra góc nhìn toàn diện về con người, văn hoá, nghệ thuật và những tầng ý niệm của sự sáng tạo.
“On Distant Atmospheres” là triển lãm đa phương tiện khám phá các nhân vật, quốc gia, phép thuật và nghệ thuật tạo hình đến từ vũ trụ song song mang tên "Monde" - một thế giới đang chuyển mình từ thời kỳ của ma thuật và quái vật sang thời đại công nghiệp và tiến bộ; nơi mọi thứ từng tồn tại, và rồi bắt đầu thay đổi.
10 tác phẩm khổ A2 của Tyler Page sẽ được trưng bày, khắc hoạ 10 nhân vật qua góc nhìn của một “nhà xuất bản trong thế giới Monde”, hé lộ những biến cố then chốt và các sắc thái tư tưởng ở nơi đây. Song hành cùng đó là loạt minh hoạ theo phong cách truyền thống do Lana Vollmer thể hiện - phản ánh quan điểm của những nghệ sĩ sống trong Monde, cũng như dụng ý và chiều sâu của cả bộ sưu tập.
Về phần âm thanh, Sydney Barringer mang đến set nhạc drum & bass mượt mà, được lựa chọn kỹ lưỡng để khớp với từng nhân vật, giúp người xem hiểu thêm về quá trình sáng tạo đằng sau đó.
Red sẽ biểu diễn múa ngẫu hứng kết hợp giữa chuyển động cơ thể và các biểu tượng phép thuật đến từ Monde, tạo nên một không gian huyền ảo, nơi thế giới của họ giao hoà với thế giới của chúng ta.
Khép lại đêm diễn là sự góp mặt của nghệ sĩ xăm hình tài năng Mai Trinh, người sẽ mang đến những flash tattoos lấy cảm hứng từ phép thuật, văn hóa và xu hướng thời trang tại Monde. Chúng tôi mời bạn ghé lại, nghe nhạc, uống một ly gì đó, và thả mình vào bầu không khí xa lạ đến từ Monde.
